The Additive Manufacturing Laboratory is equipped with a range of advanced FDM and resin-based 3D printers to support rapid prototyping, research, and student innovation.

FDM 3D Printers:
  • Bambu Lab H2D 3D Printer
  • 4 × Bambu Lab A1 3D Printers with AMS Combo
  • 3 × Creality Ender-3 V3 SE 3D Printers
Resin 3D Printing:
  • Elegoo Mars 5 Resin 3D Printer
  • Elegoo Mercury XS Bundle (Wash & Cure Station)
These machines support high-speed prototyping, multi-material printing, and high-precision resin printing for engineering, product design, and research applications.
The laboratory is designed to support continuous additive manufacturing operations.
  • Dedicated UPS-backed power supply enabling uninterrupted 24/7 printing operations
  • Reliable power infrastructure ensuring safe long-duration prints
  • A collaborative workspace and seating area for approximately 15 people
  • Ideal environment for student workshops, research discussions, and design sessions
This setup enables researchers and students to run long print jobs safely while collaborating and monitoring prints within the laboratory space.

Bambu Lab H2D

The laboratory is equipped with the Bambu Lab H2D 3D Printer, a state-of-the-art additive manufacturing system designed for high-speed, high-precision, and multi-material fabrication.

The H2D platform supports a wide range of advanced engineering filaments.

High-Temperature Filaments such as ABS, ASA, ASA-CF, PC, PA (Nylon), PA-CF, PA-GF, PA6-CF, PET-CF, PPS, PPS-CF, PPA-CF, PPA-GF, ABS-GF and ASA-Aero.

Medium-Temperature Filaments HIPS, PE, PP, EVA, PE-CF, PP-CF, PP-GF and PHA.

Low-Temperature Filamentsinclude PLA, PETG, PETG-CF, TPU, TPU-AMS, PLA-CF, PLA-Aero, PVA, BVOH and PCTG.

Internships

The laboratory offers structured internship opportunities in 3D product design and additive manufacturing, including a 6-month Advanced Internship, a 3-month Internship, and a 1-month short-term internship for hands-on learning, prototyping, and practical exposure.

Workshops

Six-day intensive workshops on 3D printing and additive manufacturing are conducted to provide participants with practical training in design, slicing, printer operation, materials, and real-time fabrication workflows.

Bootcamps

A 1-month online bootcamp using CAD for additive manufacturing is offered to help learners build strong foundations in digital design, design optimization, and preparation of models for 3D printing applications.

Projects

The laboratory provides technical guidance and infrastructure support for student, faculty, and interdisciplinary projects involving 3D product development, prototyping, testing, and additive manufacturing-based innovation.
